Custard was rescued recently and he tested positive for FIV. This is contagious to other cats and there is not a cure. However, it does not mean that he will have any issues in the future or that he will live a shorter life but he could have special needs throughout his life. He can not be adopted to a home with other cats or a home that may have additional cats in the future. The only exception is his sister Sunny that also has FIV. They are bonded and we would like to adopt them together. They have to be an indoor, adult home. No exceptions due to their needs. <br/><br/>Vet references required for all applications as well as completed applications. <br/><br/><br/>Again please note he does have FIV which is a cat only disease . It does not mean he will die soon, what it does mean is he will have potential medical issues during his life but then again he may not. While it is not typically passed through direct contact with other cats but rather than through bites we are still going to require an adoption to no other cats home to be safe and an indoor only home. We also have a no declaw policy and when we adopt a FIV cat to someone they do have to sign a acknowledgment as to the diagnosis.
