Curly's Story
NAME: Curly
Sex: male
Color/Pattern: black and white patches
Breed(s): dsh
Weight: 12 lbs
Size: med
Coat length: short
DOB approx: 2018
Age at intake: 4 yrs

Description

Curly has a big personality. He is outgoing and funny at times, but quiet and reserved too.

Personality

Curly likes to be in the thick of the action and weave in between other closely packed cats in his family and your legs. You never have to look far to find him. He is friendly and makes his presence known. Curly is hilarious at dinner time because he will reach out and pat you to remind you that he is right there and to hand over the can food! He isn’t a pig, but he does want the first bites, and as fast as you can give it to him. Then he contentedly retreats after a few bites to lick his lips and take a bath. He regains his dignity by acting like he didn’t really want it that bad afterwards. He likes to watch the dogs out the window and hang out on the cattery porch if he isn’t with his cat family.

Background

Curly and his extended family were born to a stray cat named Katrina. A good Samaritan took pregnant Katrina in, and then ended up with 18 adult cats after they did not spay her and she ended up having a second litter. Their owner kept them ALL, loved them a lot, gave them names and knew their histories, but could not care for that many adequately. The cats are all adults between the ages of 3 and 5 years old, and all very sweet and friendly, black tuxedos, calicos and orange tabbies. Their owner was evicted in November 2022. She took 5 of the cats to the hotel with her, and 13 of the adult cats ended up at a GNAR group foster home.

Compatibility

Dogs - yes
Other Cats - yes
Kids - yes

If you are interested in meeting me, please contact my rescue family at GNARHouston@gmail.com to arrange a visit with my foster home!
