CUPID's Story

You cannot tell by Cupid's facial expression but boy is he happy today! Today he is available for adoption after finishing his 4-month Rabies Quarantine! Cupid is one of the many kitties who arrive to us with wounds from another animal. When we have a kitty who arrives with these wounds and we do not know what animal caused them, we are required by law to do a 4-month Rabies Quarantine. We do this so that we can learn if the kitty contracted the Rabies Virus from the animal that hurt them. Cupid arrived with an ear-tip meaning sometime in his past, someone cared enough for him to ensure he was neutered and vaccinated. Cupid is now looking for a soft place to land. He is able to be pet and picked up by those he trusts. He will also allow brushing. Brushing helps him to keep his handsome tabby coat nice and minimize his hairball's! Cupid loves sitting in his window seat and watching the goings on in the shelter. He eagerly greats his caretaker at mealtime for his meal and attention. If you like quiet, easygoing kitties Cupid may just be the kitty for you. OTHER PETS: Cupid is a more quiet kitty who does not enjoy the energy of busy young cats. He has had no dog experience. OWNER EXPERIENCE: Cupid's adopter must have experience with Spirit kitty types. KIDS: Cupid is best suited for a quiet adult only home. ACTIVITY LEVEL: Cupid is a couch potato happy to lay in a sun-puddle or window seat and watch the goings on. VETERINARY CARE: Cupid is looking forward to meeting his new vet. He may require pre-medication for his appointments or having a vet who comes to your home. LEVEL OF SOCIALIZATION: Cupid will need adopters sensitive to his need for time to adjust to his new home. GROOMING: Cupid will require brushing to help him keep his coat matt free and minimize hairball's.
