She came to us from a shelter in South Carolina, and she’s been patiently waiting since 4/24/2026 for her second chance.<br/><br/><br/>Cruella is a lovely girl we are still getting to know, but we’re excited to learn more about her personality as she settles in. As she adjusts to her new environment, she may benefit from a patient adopter who can give her the time and space she needs to feel safe and comfortable. Capital Area Humane Society's Adoption Policy
The purpose of our adoption criteria is to ensure a consistent, fair process and to provide every potential adopter with an equal opportunity to welcome a new pet into their home. All animals are adopted to individuals who agree to follow the guidelines outlined in the adoption contract. Adopters must be at least 18 years of age and are required to complete an adoption questionnaire, as well as provide valid identification and proof of current residence. Pets are placed in homes where they will be cared for primarily as indoor companions, and adopters must commit to providing lifelong care, including proper food, water, shelter, and regular exercise. Animals may be adopted as gifts in accordance with our gift adoption policy. Additionally, to ensure the safety and well-being of our animals, we do not proceed with adoptions to individuals who appear to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
