Crossip's Story
Crossip is a 1 12 -year-old female who came to us as a stray.

Crossip is a 112-year-old female who came to us as a stray. We do not know whether she has ever lived in a home or had a (human) family. When she arrived at the shelter in March, she was very scared and refused to let humans near her. After a few months of patience and dedication, Crossips personality is starting to emerge!
She is still unsure about humans, but she is curious and growing braver every day. At first, she could hardly be approached without upsetting her. Now, shell meow as you enter the room (especially at mealtimes!) and will sometimes chirp in response if you talk to her. She can be sassy at times, especially if you go too fast or approach her when she isnt ready. She LOVES receiving pets and scratches from an extendable back scratcher! She is too nervous to allow a humans hand to approach pets, but if you pet her enough with the scratcher and allow her to relax, you can switch the scratcher out for your hand, and she is accepting.
Crossip absolutely LOVES other cats! This girl has no concept of personal space when it comes to cats, and shes often seen practically slamming into other cats at the shelter to rub on them. She is also adorably protective of her feline friends! She would be happiest to have another cat in the home, ideally one that is aggressively affectionate with other cats. She has her playful moments, but she also knows how to relax and cozy up for a nap.
We think if someone invests the time, patience, and love into Crossip and allows her to grow at her own pace, they will be rewarded with a very affectionate, playful, goofy, and sometimes sassy girl.

Crossip is spayed, micro-chipped, and up to date on vaccines.

Adoption Fee: $175

If you have already submitted an application with us within the last year, you do not need to do another one, please email adoptioncounselor@mrfrs.org if you are interested in adopting Crossip. We will take inquiries on a first come, first served basis via email. If you have not completed our questionnaire, please do so here as the first step to our adoption process:
https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/MER/Cat
