The gentle soul. The boy with the slight limp that never slows him down - it just makes him tilt a little when he runs to greet you. Recently, life handed him a few extra challenges. He was diagnosed with lung inflammation and may possibly have asthma. X-rays also showed what appears to be an enlarged heart, and he will need a cardiac work-up in the future.<br/><br/>Right now, he takes two oral medications to help him breathe comfortably. And he does it like a champ.<br/><br/>We don't know exactly what his future looks like. It's possible his lifespan could be shorter than we'd hope. That's the honest part.<br/><br/>But here's the more important part:<br/><br/>Today, he is happy.<br/>Today, he is playful.<br/>Today, he is loved beyond measure.<br/><br/>His foster mom adores him - and Timbit - as if they were her own. They follow her from room to room. They curl up beside her. They have filled her home with warmth and laughter. They are not fragile. They are not sad. They are living.<br/><br/>And Timbit?
