Crescent's Story
Looking for a sweet but somewhat shy cat to be friends with you (and your cat?) Crescent is your silly orange guy! Crescent, his three siblings, and his mom were living in an abandoned building and were so hungry that they were all trapped within 40 minutes.

Crescent is a little shy at first, but he is very food motivated. He enjoys pets if you first offer him some wet food. Come on! Do you expect him to give out his love for free? We think he is worth the little extra effort. He is still learning to play with his foster mom but will follow her around during mealtimes, rubbing all over her legs while purring loudly. Crescent also loves lounging in the cat trees, on the cat shelves or in some blankets up high with the other foster kitties. He is a calm, sweet boy that loves to be with his cat foster friends and will need to be adopted with one of them or into a home with another confident and friendly cat.

Crescent can be a little shy at first with people he does not know but warms up quickly, especially if he is bribed with wet food. He will need to start in a small room until he is comfortable in his new home. He does not seem to mind his foster mom's dogs and will likely do well with other respectful dogs with proper introductions. We also feel Crescent would do well with older, cat savvy children.

Crescent is 1.5 years old. He has been neutered, dewormed, flea treated, microchipped, vaccinated, and has tested FIV/FeLV-. Crescent was recently successfully treated for FIP (feline infectious peritonitis). Although a reinfection with FIP would be considered rare, we would recommend that any interested adopters educate themselves on this disease and what signs/symptoms to look out for. If you think Crescent is the handsome orange cat for you, apply to adopt today!
