Cranberry's Story

When Cranberry first came into our rescue, she was found living beneath a shed with her four tiny kittens. She was a devoted mama, doing everything she could to keep her babies fed and safe. We can only imagine how difficult life must have been for such a young cat. Thankfully, Cranberry and her babies were rescued, and all four of her boys have since found loving homes.

Now it's finally Cranberry's turn.

For the past year, Cranberry has been patiently waiting in foster care for someone to choose her. While she's had plenty of interest, she hasn't yet found the right match—mostly because the one thing she truly longs for is the companionship of another friendly cat.

Cranberry is a quiet, sensitive girl who needs a calm home and patient people willing to let her settle in at her own pace. She may not be the cat who climbs into your lap on the first day, but once she feels safe, her sweet personality shines. She'll greet you at the door with soft little chirps and meows, happily accept neck rubs, and quietly enjoy being near her people.

One of Cranberry's greatest joys is companionship. She would truly thrive with a friendly cat looking for a best friend. She could be an only cat if her family is home often and can provide the companionship, playtime, and interaction she enjoys.

Don't let her shy nature fool you—Cranberry is still a playful kitten at heart! Once she's comfortable, she loves chasing wand toys, racing through the house with adorable zoomies, climbing, jumping, and hiding before pouncing back into the fun. She's also perfectly content entertaining herself when you're busy.

Cranberry has fully embraced indoor life. Whether or not she ever lived in a home before her rescue is unknown, but now you'll often find her lounging in a sunny window, happily watching birds, squirrels, and chipmunks go about their day.

She also has some wonderfully endearing quirks:

- Daily spa days are required. Cranberry absolutely loves being brushed and will happily remind you when it's time.

- She's a litter box superstar. Her foster mom says Cranberry has the best litter box habits she's ever seen—always neat, tidy, and somehow leaving behind no unpleasant odors. We're convinced it's her secret superpower.

- Your furniture is safe! Cranberry faithfully uses her scratching posts and especially loves cardboard scratchers, though she'll happily climb a tall scratching post, too.

- Low-maintenance but loving. She's independent enough to relax on her own but always happy to share quiet moments with the people and cats she loves.

Cranberry is around 2 years old, spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, FeLV/FIV negative, and impeccably litter box trained.

After spending a year waiting so patiently, all Cranberry wants is a family of her own and, if possible, a feline friend to share it with. If you're looking for a gentle, resilient companion with a heart full of love, Cranberry may be the perfect addition to your family.

Please visit www.fabsrescue.com to submit an adoption application.

Give Cranberry the happy ending she's been waiting so patiently for. We have a feeling you'll wonder how you ever lived without her.
