Cowboy aka MOO!'s Story

Meet Cowboy: The Sweetest Shelter Survivor

Age: 4 months
Color: Black & White
Neutered/Vaccinated: No (appt is scheduled)/Yes

When I first saw Cowboy in his shelter cage, my heart broke. He was a staff favorite, a gentle little soul with the odds stacked against him in a high-kill shelter. Despite the noise and chaos, he sat there quietly, working so hard to be brave and didn't take his eyes off me. I talked to him softly and he approached the bars of his cage, hung his paws through and looked me right in the eyes and loudly meowed. I was suprised to hear a loud confident noise from such a gentle boy, and I knew in that moment I needed to pull him from the shelter and give him a second chance at loving home.

Cowboy is now thriving in his foster home. He was initially a little shocked by his sudden change of environment but after only about 36 hours he come out of his shell. From that moment on, he’s been a total sweetheart—purring, loving belly rubs, and soaking up all the attention he can get. He loves to play, but he’s also got this gentle, soulful side that makes you feel like he’s been waiting just for you. His foster mom says he's her 'bestie'.

This little guy has been through so much already, yet he remains tender-hearted, affectionate, and ready to be someone’s special companion. If you’re looking for a kitten with a story and the kind of love that comes from being rescued, Cowboy might just be your perfect match.

Adoption Info:
Cowboy is available for adoption through Cats of Oceanside located in North San Diego county and can go to a loving home anywhere in Southern California. If you’re interested, please reach out with a little info about yourself and the kind of home you can offer Cowboy. hello@catsofoceanside.org
