Cove's Story

🌊 Meet Cove — Your Little Purr Machine! 🐾

Hi there, my name is Cove, and I’m a tiny bundle of love, zoomies, and very loud purrs! 💙

I’m the kind of kitten who believes that life is best when you have someone to play with, someone to snuggle near, and someone to make sure you’re never lonely. That’s why my forever home must have another playful, friendly cat who would enjoy having a kitten sidekick.

I’m a very affectionate little guy, and I purr pretty much whenever I’m around my people. Give me some attention and I’ll happily headbutt you for scratches! I love being close to my humans—although I usually prefer sitting beside you rather than directly on you. I’ll happily accept lap cuddles, though, and I don’t mind being held.

When I’m not busy giving out purrs, I’m BUSY! I have classic kitten energy and am incredibly active. I love all the toys—wand toys, springs, balls, mice... honestly, I’m not picky! I also love my scratchers and have excellent litter box habits. And did someone say FOOD? Eating is definitely one of my favourite activities. 😋

I’ve met some older cats in my foster home. I’m very curious about them, although I can be a little nervous around them at first. With another playful cat who can show me the ropes and keep me company, I think I’ll really thrive. I don’t enjoy being alone, so having a feline friend is especially important to me.

I’ve also met dogs! I’m curious at first, but if a dog comes running toward me, I’ll usually decide that disappearing quickly is the better plan. 😂 A calm, respectful dog could potentially be okay with the right introduction, but my feline friend is a must.

I might be a little shy when we first meet, but don’t let that fool you. Give me a little time, some yummy food, and plenty of attention, and I’ll warm up quickly. Before long, you’ll hear that famous Cove purr and probably get a few enthusiastic headbutts asking for scratches.

So, if you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate, high-energy kitten who wants a loving family AND a fun feline best friend, I might just be your guy.

🐾 My dream forever home:
❤️ Loving humans who enjoy an affectionate kitten
🐱 Another playful, friendly cat in the home — this is a must!
🎾 Lots of toys and opportunities to play
🍽️ Someone who understands that food is very important
🛋️ A home where I won’t be left alone for long periods

I’m Cove, and I’m ready to find my forever family—and hopefully a kitty best friend to share all my adventures with! 🌊🐾

It Takes A Village Dog Rescue's Adoption Policy
Hopeful adopters must fill out an adoption application. All applications are screened and potential matches are contacted. Follow up questions are emailed. A phone call is set up to clarify any questions about the adoption process. At that point the fosters are provided the contact information for the potential adopters. They set up a meet and greet at the fosters home. During the meet the foster will tell the potential adopter the good, the bad. and the ugly about the dog... we want total transparency in order to have an open and successful adoption. After the meet we ask the fosters and the adopters their thoughts. If the adopter would like to proceed, their references are checked and a virtual home visit is conducted. If the adoptable dog has any sort of behavioural or medical issues a plan to address the issue would be required before adoption could proceed. If all is good then the adoption contract is sent out to be signed and returned along with the adoption fee. The foster is given the green light to arrange pick up.
