Cotter's Story
Cotter is a senior DSH originally rescued from a feral colony in New Haven in 2019. In 2021, he was adopted from GNHCP and spent 5 years in his new home. Then, in the spring of 2026, Cotter was returned to the Cat Project when his owner could no longer take care of him. The transition back into foster care has been hard for him, especially because Cotter no longer gets along with other cats.

Cotter is a curious, friendly cat who will walk right up to you and ask for attention when you walk into the room. He enjoys being brushed, absolutely *loves* catnip and catnip toys, and spends a lot of his time sprawled out on a rug or couch or big fluffy cat bed, snoozing the day away.

Cotter is blind in his left eye, and needs to have a quality, portion-controlled diet so that he loses some weight, but otherwise he is in good health. He needs to be the only cat in the house, and needs to be in a home without children and without too much activity. We are looking for an experienced cat owner who can give him not only attention and affection, but also space when he needs it. He is such a sweet boy, who just needs the right, safe home where he can be his lazy, affectionate self in peace.

Birth Year: 2015
____________________________

If you are interested in adopting this cat, you MUST fill out an adoption screening form on our website: www.gnhcp.org/adoptions

We WILL NOT read any applications or inquiries from Petfinder.
