Cortina's Story
She’s beautiful, she knows it—and she’d prefer to admire you from a safe distance.

This striking girl has always marched to the beat of her own drum. Even as a 10-week-old foster kitten, she preferred to keep her distance and observe the world from a quiet, safe spot. We’ve worked with her and made progress, but she’s still very much a “look, don’t touch” kind of girl—and that’s perfectly okay.

Our busy rescue environment can be overwhelming for her, so when things get hectic, she’ll retreat to her favorite hiding spots. We truly believe that in a quiet, patient home, she could blossom in ways we haven’t yet had the opportunity to see.

She may not be the cat who runs up to greet you or immediately asks for cuddles. She’ll need someone who understands that trust takes time—and who will celebrate the little victories along the way.

Could you be the patient, understanding person who gives this beautiful girl the safe space she needs to finally come out of her shell? Her person is out there. Maybe it’s you.
