Coraline's Story
Hello, human reader. My name? Well, sometimes it’s “Pretty Girl,” sometimes it’s “Cora Girl,” but I answer only when the treat pouch rustles. Allow me to introduce myself: I am a proud indoor cat, queen of all windowsills and blanket piles in my home. I like to keep things calm and familiar—no wild outside adventures for me, thank you very much.
When it comes to fellow felines, I consider myself... cautious. At first, I’ll watch from afar, maybe from behind the couch or beneath my favourite quilt. If you’re a new cat, don’t take it personally; I just need to be sure you’re not a threat to my perfect world. Once I realize you’re friendly (and not here to steal my treats or blanket throne), I might even share a sunbeam or two.
Speaking of treats, I’m not one for a lot of chatter. You’ll rarely hear a peep from me—unless, of course, it’s time for my beloved lickable treat. When that moment comes, you might catch a tiny chirp, soft as a feather, just so my human knows: treat time is now.
My human is my favourite companion, especially during nap times. I love to sleep near them, just close enough to feel their presence and maybe their warmth, but please—no picking me up. I’m not a cuddly plush toy. I’ll allow one or two gentle pets, from my head to the tip of my tail, but let’s not get carried away. We cats have our boundaries.
My greatest joy? Finding the fluffiest heap of blankets in the house and sinking in for an epic snooze. The cozier, the better. Sometimes I’ll rearrange them myself, using an expert paw or two, to achieve blanket perfection before curling up in a tight ball.
So, if you’re seeking a loyal, low-key companion who appreciates quiet company, soft piles, and the occasional treat, you’ve found your match. Just don’t expect to pick me up—and remember, the blanket mountain is mine.

Adoption fee for MLDHS shelter cats is $100.
MLDHS cats at Petsmart in Prince Albert, SK are $150-200 if adopted through the Petsmart store directly. Includes spay/neuter (if done at our local Meadow Lake vet), vaccinations and deworming. Some of our cats can be viewed at the Pet Valu store in Meadow Lake. See our Pet Valu album to see which cats are currently held there. Adoptions need to be done through MLDHS but visits can occur at the store during their open hours. See Individual Photos on our facebook page -and watch for their own albums with many more photos. https://www.facebook.com/mldhs
Apply to adopt using our
CAT ADOPTION APPLICATION LINK: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1-4UOAgiSmWO4nk4r1kaeS7CvbJcr3_PUeCDObCZi1uA/edit
