Cooper's Story
🐾 Meet Cooper! 🖤

Cooper is a handsome 1-year-old boy who has come a long way since arriving in rescue. He was originally thought to be feral or extremely under-socialized and was neutered and ear-tipped with plans to eventually return him outdoors. But Cooper had other plans. 😹

After what his foster lovingly describes as a little breaking-and-entering escapade, Cooper decided the indoor life was for him! He eventually found his way into foster care, where he slowly began realizing that people—and all the comforts of a warm home—might actually be pretty great.

It took Cooper some time to feel comfortable enough to come out and ask for affection, but now he can’t get enough. ❤️ This former “feral” boy is actually what we lovingly call a fake feral—because once he trusts you, he’s a total lap cat!

Cooper loves people and other cats and absolutely thrives on companionship. He enjoys belly rubs, drools when he’s being petted, and loves spending time close to his people. He still occasionally hisses if someone surprises him when they walk into the room, but it’s all bark and no bite. 😂

One thing Cooper truly doesn’t enjoy is being alone. He would do best in a home with another cat to keep him company and people who will enjoy having an affectionate companion close by. After spending time outside on his own, he could simply be making up for lost time in a place where he finally feels safe. ❤️

💛 1 year old
💛 Total lap cat
💛 Loves people & other cats
💛 Enjoys belly rubs and lots of affection
💛 Drools when he’s happy and being petted
💛 Thrives with companionship
💛 Would do best with another cat in the home

Cooper may have started out as an outdoor boy, but underneath it all is a sweet, affectionate lap cat who simply needed a safe place and a little time to let his true personality shine. 🏡🐾

If you’re looking for a loving companion who loves being close to his people and feline friends, Cooper may be your boy! 🖤🐾

Apply to adopt him today and give this sweet boy the forever home he’s been waiting for! ❤️
