Cooper 3 months old's Story

Meet Cooper the Leader of the Floof! Bigger than his siblings and full of confidence, Cooper is fearless, playful, and always ready to lead the fun. Whether he's wrestling with his littermates, exploring every corner, or striking a pose, this handsome light tabby knows how to steal the spotlight. Cooper is also incredibly affectionate and loves attention, cuddles, and being near his people. He would love to be adopted with one of his 6 siblings, or to a home that already has another young playful cat.

Cooper is approximately 12 weeks old as of June 22, 2026.

He is healthy and has received top notch care at our rescue, like all our kitties. He tested negative for FeLV/FIV, has been dewormed, vaccinated and will be neutered and microchipped as part of this adoption. The Rescue Train's Adoption Policy
Ready To Adopt? Our adoption process is designed to help us set up safe and successful adoptions. The majority of the time we only do local adoptions in the City of Los Angeles. If you do not live in the LA City area please check with us before filling out an application by e-mailing us @ info@therescuetrain.org. We Take The Guess Work Out! We invest a lot of time, money and love into each animal in our care to help the adopter know what kind of pet they are adopting. Unless there is a medical reason all our animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and many of our dogs have had over $2000 of obedience training in our "Trained For Life" program. Step 1) View pets online: www.therescuetrain.org Step 2) Submit Application for the Pet of Your Choice Our adoption application is not meant to be an invasion of privacy but a tool to help us find out if one of our dogs or cats would fit happily into your home and lifestyle. We spend a lot of time and funds to get to know our pets and your application helps set both you and them up for a successful adoption. Step 3) Meet the Pet By appointment only. If your application is approved, you will be contacted to meet the pet at a convenient time. We ask that everyone who will be living with the pet attend the meeting. Also, for dogs if you have an existing dog we will introduce the dogs during the adoption process. Step 4) Home Check While a home visit is required prior to final placement, it does not guarantee adoption. We like to see where our pets will be living to make sure that they will be in a safe and secure environment. Often we can help with unforeseen health risks and help secure yards and fences that first time owners might miss. Step 5) Adoption Contract The adoption contract is a legal binding contract between the adopter and our organization. If, for any reason, the adoption of one of our pets DOES NOT work out, you MUST return the animal to The Rescue Train. Step 6) Tax Deductible Donation There is a minimum, tax deductible, non-refundable donation of $250.00 per dog, $500.00 for "Trained For Life Dogs", $125 per cat or $200 for a pair of cats. The donation helps us recoup a small fraction of our pet care costs. Step 7) Delivery of Your New Family Member We come with education and helpful hints to help things go smoothly and take the guess work out of what to expect when bringing your new pet home. Each pet has a team of people behind him/her and we are here to be a support system if you should need us.
