He is affectionate, cuddly, and loves nothing more than curling up for a nap with his people. He has lived with children of all ages and has done very well with both other cats and a small dog.<br/><br/>Conan has been the only pet in the home for the past 112 years, so he may need some time and patience when adjusting to new animal friends. He is strictly an indoor cat and is frightened of going outside.<br/><br/>Conan does have a strong fear of thunderstorms and may panic meow, hide, or seek out someone to comfort him when storms approach. He will let you know when he has had enough attention, but overall he is a loving and affectionate companion.<br/><br/>His family is sadly looking to rehome him because their daughter has developed severe allergies. They are heartbroken to say goodbye but want Conan to find a loving home where he can continue being the wonderful cuddle buddy he has always been.<br/><br/>At the Humane Society of Midland County, all animals adopted will be spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations prior to an adoption. Dogs over 6 months of age will be heartworm tested, and any dog with a positive test will receive treatment at No Appointment Needed to Meet Adoptable Animals!<br/>We have open adoption hours, and walk-ins are always welcome! While filling out an application lets us know you're interested in adopting, it does not hold an animal, and applications are not required to meet the available animals. We do highly recommend and may require you to bring any dogs that reside in the same household, or that will be around commonly if you are meeting a new dog companion.<br/><br/>Want to Know if I’m Still Available?<br/>Call the shelter at (989)-835-1877 to confirm my availability.
