He is a wonderful companion who loves bathing in the sun and is content when watching the bunnies in the grass next door. Many times, these cats require extraordinary medical care and extensive stays in their foster homes before they are ready for adoption. But we don't think time or money should ever get in the way of a cat receiving the care they deserve! To help us care for these cats, we have increased fees for other cats who are in high demand-such cats aid us in catalyzing change within our community. Due to limited volunteer power, applications submitted for cats or kittens no longer available will not be reviewed. <br/><br/>About Ten Lives:<br/><br/>Ten Lives Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization located in Rhode Island. Our foster-based program is 100% volunteer-powered. We do not have a facility or shelter with regular visiting hours. Out of respect for the time, privacy, and safety of our foster families, we require an approved adoption application before scheduling a meet and greet with a foster cat. <br/><br/>Our goal is to place cats in their best-matched homes and facilitate lifelong adoptions. We do not review applications on a first-come, first-serve basis. We believe that veterinary care is an important part of cat guardianship. As such, a veterinary check is part of our adoption process. Our goal is to contact applicants within 96 business hours of receiving their application. During kitten season, wait times may be longer due to the influx of applications. We are all volunteers and kindly ask for your patience! <br/><br/>All Ten Lives cats are spayed or neutered, receive age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLv and parasites, dewormed, treated for fleas, and microchipped. These services are inclusive of the adoption fee.
