Colin Feral's Story

My name is Colin Feral! I am a year old male tuxedo with some unique spots on my legs. One kinda looks like a square with a slight hourglass shape on my front leg. I am a little scrappy and have a scratch on my nose.

I decided to self domesticate in mid January 2026. I found the neighborhood sucker for felines and started singing the song of my people on her porch. She fed me and I came back after dark. I heard her calling to me from another door. I ran over to her and told her all about how hungry I was with my lovely voice! I am super vocal!

Since then, I have been living with my temporary fosters and they have been working with me. I may have chosen to come indoors but that doesn't make me a mush (yet). I am affectionate on my terms, and rub and love on hands when they are calm. I am still scared of hands coming at me (beware of my paws). I can sense when my foster is nervous and it makes me nervous and scared. I much prefer calm and assertive energy when being worked with. I accept head scritches when in a good mood.

I really love my touch stick and that has been helping me get used to indoor life. My fosters think I will get used to hands with people who are patient. That means I will not be good with children or inexperienced cat parents expecting to pick me up right away.

I love play time and am obsessed with helicopter wand toys and laser pointers. I self play with mice and love silvervine! I scratch my scratchers with gusto.

I can't wait to explore a bigger space! I will show my full awesomeness when I interact with my future parent(s) on my own terms. I came from a neighborhood cat colony, so please follow slow introduction steps (Jackson Galaxy has some great advice on YouTube) if you have another pet you want me to get along with.
