Colin's Story

Everyone who meets Colin falls in love -- and it's easy to see why. This affectionate adult boy has a heart of gold and a purr that starts with just a glance or a kind word. He thrives on human attention and gives back with snuggles, head bumps, and his signature double chirp -- a sound so charming and unique, his foster family nicknamed him "AT-AT" in its honor.

Colin may be grown, but he plays like a kitten -- and not always gently! He's full of energy and loves to wrestle, tackle, and pin down his feline foster friends. His current buddy, Aspen, is a perfect match for his rough-and-tumble style, and Colin would do best with another young, confident, and playful cat who can keep up and hold their own.

Colin came to us after showing up injured on a rescuer's porch, suffering from a broken leg and a damaged tail. Despite multiple procedures and the best efforts of our veterinary team, his right rear leg and part of his tail had to be amputated. But if you think that slowed him down, think again -- Colin is fast, agile, and full of life. He's adapted beautifully and continues to live life to the fullest.

Colin is also a sensitive soul. He's very shy with new people and unfamiliar environments, which is why he doesn't shine at busy adoption events. To help him feel safe and show his true personality, meet-and-greets are arranged in his foster home -- by appointment only, with an approved application. Once he warms up, you'll see the affectionate, playful sweetheart everyone falls for.

If you're looking for a loving, spirited companion with a big personality and even bigger heart, Colin could be the one for you.Available for adoption from Kitty Kat Haven and Rescue
Hoover, AL 35226
205-302-8883

Kitty Kat Haven and Rescue 's Adoption Policy
Welcome to Kitty Kat Haven and Rescue's Petfinder webpage. We are so happy you are looking to adopt a pet. KKHR will make sure all cats and kittens are updated on vaccinations, provide a spay neuter certificate to the adopter if an animal has not already been altered, flea and worm meds, and we combo test for FIV/FeLV. Additionally, all cats and kittens will be microchipped. If you are interested in one of our pets you can visit our website www.kittykathavenrescue.org and fill out an application. Your application will be reviewed. Please allow 4 to 5 business days to process applications. Please note: Our policy is to not adopt further than a 50 mile / 60 minute drive from our headquarters in Hoover, Al. There are several reasons why we prefer to do local adoptions. You can view those on our adoption FAQ page (https://kittykathavenrescue.org/important-faqs-about-adoption/). We take finding forever homes for our cats and kittens very seriously. Many come from difficult and traumatic backgrounds and we do our best to make sure that their new home will love and care for them as much as we do. We appreciate your understanding of our process and the time it takes to receive approval. Thank you for your interest in adopting one of our sweet babies. We look forward to working with you.
