Meet Colby, a 7-month-old kitten with a gentle heart who's looking for a patient, understanding home. Colby had a difficult start to life. Her mother was unvaccinated and tested positive for FeLV, so Colby had to remain isolated until she was old enough to be tested herself. Because of this, she missed out on important early socialization experiences. The wonderful news is that Colby tested negative for FeLV and is healthy and ready to find her forever family!<br/><br/>Colby's foster has been working hard to help her build confidence, and she's made great progress. She's a very sweet girl, though still shy and timid around new people. Where Colby truly shines is with other cats - she absolutely loves playing with her siblings and the resident foster cat. She would do best in a calm home with a friendly feline companion or, even better, one of her littermates.<br/><br/>Colby will need an adopter who can give her time, patience, and understanding as she continues to come out of her shell. It is $125 for two adults. Our kitten adoption fee (under 5 mo) is $175. If two kittens are adopted at the same time, our adoption fee is $300 for the pair. If an adult cat is adopted with a kitten, our adoption fee is $225.<br/><br/>*Please note that all breeds noted are estimates or best guesses.
