Coconut's Story

***Le français suivra***

Coconut is a sweet and beautiful girl estimated to be two years old. She has a playful, independent and energetic personality. She enjoys human attention and happily comes back for pets. The moment you place your hand on her, she begins purring—loud enough to hear across the room! As soon as the petting starts, she revs up like a little tractor.

She is very affectionate but also appreciates her independence. Coconut knows when to use her claws for play and when to keep them tucked away, especially when she gently taps your hand to get your attention.

She loves having a cozy, safe space where she can retreat. Coconut is easily startled, but she settles quickly and comes back out once she feels safe again. She is comfortable with other cats and enjoys their company.

Coconut is currently staying with a foster family in the Plateau area of Gatineau, Quebec.

She has been spayed, vaccinated against rabies, microchipped and dewormed. She has received her first FVRCP vaccine and is scheduled to receive her second dose on September 22. After this appointment, she will be fully vaccinated and ready to join her forever family.

If you think you could be the perfect family for Coconut, we would love to hear from you.

[La version française suit] Adopt through TNR La Pêche in 6 steps: 1. Find a cat: Visit PetFinder to see which cats and kittens are currently available. 2. Apply: Complete the adoption application at tnrlapeche.ca and tell us which cat has stolen your heart, along with a little about yourself and your home. 3. Connect with the foster family: One of our volunteers will contact you within a few days and connect you with the cat’s foster family so you can arrange a visit. 4. Meet the cat: Meet the cat in their foster home to see if you have a connection. We do not allow same-day adoptions. The cat will be reserved for you until 5 p.m. the day after your visit (for example, if you visit on Monday, the cat is reserved until Tuesday at 5 p.m.). After that, we cannot guarantee the cat will still be available. 5. Officially adopt: Email us to confirm that you wish to proceed with the adoption. Our volunteers will normally process your request within 48 hours. You’ll then receive the adoption agreement and a link to pay the adoption fee. Once we’ve confirmed receipt of both, we’ll let you and the foster family know that everything is finalized. 6. Pick up your new cat: Once everything is confirmed, arrange a pick-up time that works for you and the foster family. Congratulations!
