Hi! I'm Coco Puff and I'm a beautiful and shy little guy that has shiny black fur. Although I am a little shy at the moment, I'm still social and very friendly. I like lots of brushing of my beautiful fur and lots of petting! I'll be sure to let you know I'm very happy by purring for you.<br/><br/>I love spending time with other cats and I have become really close friends with Coal, Car, Donut and Willow. I would love to find my forever home and I would be very happy to go home with any one of my friends, especially Coal, but I'd be just as happy to join another young cat that may already live with you. I don't mind dogs and I enjoy interacting with older children but most importantly I love pets and chin scratches.<br/><br/>Would you like to make Cocoa, and maybe even one of his friends, a part of your family? Action Volunteers for Animals - Durham Region's Adoption Policy
All AVA kittens under 12 months of age MUST be adopted in pairs or to a home with another young cat. AVA does not accept applications for single kittens. AVA does not adopt out of province or out of country. Adopters should live within a one-hour radius of our locations in the Greater Toronto Horseshoe Area (GTHA). Due to the overwhelming volume of applications we are receiving, a response to short-listed applicants may be delayed. While we endeavour to contact short-listed applicants within 48 hours, a response may take up to a week. Adoption Fees Standard adoption fees for cats and kittens include vetting, spay/neuter, two dewormings, microchip, and initial vaccine at the time of adoption (FVRCP and rabies if age-appropriate). Additional fees may apply for cats who have had, or are due for, vaccine boosters prior to adoption. Testing for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) or Feline Leukemia (FeLV) is is not included unless specifically indicated, as testing is not standard practice. Adult over 1 year: $250 (with initial vaccine) Adult over 1 year: $325 (with second/booster vaccine at $75) Kitten or juvenile under 1 year: $275 (with initial vaccine) Kitten or juvenile under 1 year: $350 (with booster vaccine at $75) Seniors (10+ years) and special needs: $200 Special breeds: Starting at $250 – a $75 fee may be applied for special breeds who have had a booster administered prior to adoption.
