Coco ***Friendly with Rella and Gizmo***'s Story

Coco: happy, playful, curious guy and BFF with Rella (aka: Cinderella), and Gizmo, those two love birds...

I was in a home with 5 cats, even more young kids, in an apartment that was chaotic, and life was a struggle. My owner unfortunately was getting evicted, so 3 of us got the boot to this rescue called Fitchburg Friends of Felines, one went to grandma, and another was supposed to come with us, but never was handed over. She didn't like us, anyway, and hid under the bed and was pretty unsocial, anyways. So, no love lost for me.

So, three of us (myself, Rella, and Gizmo were sent to the amazing space on a lake with beautiful views and an entire apartment all to ourselves. Our foster human and her hubby would hang out with us watching TV and tries to play with us, but we are not really that interested. They keep trying! It is amusing... briefly...

But, someone new needed our space, so we got moved to a different part of the house, and our foster mom could not hang with us as much, and we need to find another home ASAP... so here you read about us!

I’m a big, happy guy and have totally made an adjustment to the new space. I used to get just dry food, but now I am getting wet food, YUM!!! Oh, and lots of treats. BONUS!

I also had some bad teeth when I arrived, but I am all fixed up now!

I was scared at first in the foster home but very quickly decided this place was okay. I want to be petted but I’m still a but nervous, so I will come see you often for quick visits and will settle down on your lap eventually. Patience is a virtue!

I’m not a fan of being picked up or held but my foster mom tries it all the time, cuz I’m so irresistible. I might just get to like it. I would really love someone to play with me. If you have a feather wand toy or laser pointer I will keep you amused with my kitten-like antics. I am also a fan of mouse toys and will fling them around the room for fun.

I met my foster mom’s cats a couple of times, and I was not a fan of one, but was okay with the other. I could be happy by myself or if you had room in your home and heart for a trio, I get along great with Rella and Gizmo.

My ideal home would be a calm space with Rella, and my other BFF, Gizmo. I would probably be okay as an only kitty as well, since someone taking in a trio may be a bit much. My human would like to give me play time and let me lounge on their lap, on my terms, of course.

Fitchburg Friends of Felines facilitates a foster to adopt program that places the intended adoptee with the potential adoptive family. This ensures that your feline companion is the perfect fit as well as provides support as you both transition into your new life together.

You can fill out an adoption application here:

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSe1685w60NjfU2eeE55Cd57TAaEZU7bERjyY825EMto48sTQw/viewform

Please reach out to Fitchburg Friends of Felines directly at 978-222-3170 or fitchburgfriendsoffelines@gmail.com with questions. Fitchburg Friends of Felines, Inc.'s Adoption Policy
Potential adopters are required to have a solid character reference, vet reference, and a site visit which can be conducted virtually. Due to MA regulations, we cannot intake pets from out of state. We offer a foster to adopt program to guarantee the intended kitty is a good fit for your family. We also require that all adopters agree to return the kitty should the adopter no longer be able to care for him or her in the future, or an agreed to person is identified to continue care for this kitty. We are not a brick and mortar; all available cats are kept in foster homes. Therefore, we would need time to schedule a visit to meet a kitty. We are happy to travel to match the perfect kitty for your family. Our adoption fees are normally $250 per cat, $350 for specialty breeds or exotics, and $50 less per kitty if interested in multiples. For specific questions, or for an adoption application, please feel free to reach out to us directly: fitchburgfriendsoffelines@gmail.com or call our hotline: 978-222-3170
