Coal is an adorable male kitten who was brought to the HSOV on April 7, 2026 along with his two sisters (Smog and Soot) after they were found in Marietta Ohio fending for themselves. Coal and his sisters were estimated to have been 8-weeks old at that time.<br/><br/>Coal has a black shorthaired coat sprinkled with silvery hairs, a long tail, and a cute kitten face with golden eyes, nice 'ear furnishings', a black velvet nose, and long black whiskers,<br/><br/>This little playboy has a sweet, fun-loving personality, and he loves to engage in silly kitten games with his sisters.<br/><br/>Coal is good with other cats/kittens and also with children.<br/><br/>Coal was given vaccinations and Pyrantel wormer on April 8, 2026. He weighed 1.5 lbs that day.<br/><br/>Coal was taken to a veterinary clinic on May 4th for his neuter procedure but was unable to undergo surgery because he had a 'kitty cold'. Coal weighed 2.2 lbs that day. <br/><br/>Coal will be neutered in the near future (tentatively on June 8th.<br/><br/>Coal has an approved adoption application, so he has a wonderful home waiting for him after he is neutered. <br/><br/>Update: Coal was neutered on May 19, 2026 and was also given rabies vaccine.
