Hello there! My name is Coal. My foster mama says that I have a brave and playful spirit, but I am still coming out of my shell. I am usually the silent observer in the background, watching everything and everyone, until the wand toy comes out and then watch me play! I need a patient family to continue helping me build confidence with gentle pets, treats, and play time! I will be available on July 9! You can pre-adopt me now for $50 to reserve me for your family. The remaining $75 will be due on adoption day. $125 adoption fee includes neuter surgery, vaccinations, microchip, and combo test for FeLeuk/FIV!

For Every Living Thing in Virginia (FELT)'s Adoption Policy

Adopters must: • Provide inside only homes, with the exception of barn cat placements and special situations where a cat has a behavioral or medical issue that requires outdoor living. • Have another young dog, cat, or rabbit living in the home if adopting a young kitten or puppy. • Be over the age of 18 and have permission from the person who owns the residence. • Not have a history of animal abuse or neglect. • Have had all current dogs and cats spayed/neutered and vaccinated unless there is a medical reason. • Have everyone living in the home agree to adopting a new pet. • Have permission from the homeowner, landlord, etc. to adopt the pet. • Provide a reference and have an established veterinarian for any current pets. Any exceptions to the conditions provided above require approval of the Executive Director or the Board.

To protect and support animals by keeping pets in their homes whenever possible, reuniting lost pets with their families, and providing foster-based rescue and adoption services when necessary; and providing safe transport of wild animals to licensed rehabilitators.
