Clyde's Story

Meet Clyde, the quieter half of our infamous duo, Bonnie and Clyde. A bonded pair with a tale as legendary as their names. When they first arrived at Abandoned Pet Rescue, both were timid and unsure, but Clyde decided to take matters into his own paws. In a bold move worthy of his name, Clyde escaped from his cage and went into hiding, evading the "authorities" (our shelter staff) for several days. Meanwhile, Bonnie stayed behind, loyally waiting for her partner. Eventually, Clyde was "captured" and, instead of facing consequences, was rewarded with gentle love, treats, and the promise of safety. Since then, Clyde has come a long way, though he's still the more cautious of the pair. He finds comfort in Bonnie's presence and is happiest when they're together. The two now live in our free roaming cat room, where they feel much more relaxed and at ease. Clyde is still shy and will need a patient, understanding adopter who's willing to let him come out of his shell at his own pace. With time, consistency, and love, we believe he'll continue to blossom just like Bonnie has. If you are interested in meeting this loving pair please fill out an adoption application at abandonedpetrescue.org!

Clyde is vaccinated, neutered, microchipped and ready for adoption at Abandoned Pet Rescue - a no-kill shelter in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
