While my brother acclimates quickly to new environments, I take some patience and someone to actively help me to get used to a new setting. I can't help it; I hide, and I need a lot of reassurance at first. And to be honest, this has made it difficult for my brother and I to get adopted. I feel like I am holding him back from having a great home, but the truth is that I really need him. I am hoping that someone will think that helping me to acclimate is really no big deal in the grand scheme of things.
