Clementine's Story
Clementine
Female, DLH brown tabby, 5 years old

Calling all cat whisperers!

Clementine’s story with APS-FH actually began when she was just a kitten. She was originally adopted from APS-FH in 2021, but due to a series of unfortunate circumstances, she has experienced many transitions over the past year, with the most recent bringing her back into our care at the shelter.

Clementine is looking for a patient hero to show her that the world isn’t a scary place. Right now, Clementine is shut down and scared. She is so overwhelmed by shelter life that she spends most of her time frozen and hiding. Mostly, she is just terrified and needs a safe place to decompress at her own pace, settle in, and begin to understand that she is finally safe.

Because of this, we are open to two different types of homes:

Option 1: A quiet indoor home where she can decompress
- A patient foster home or adopter.
- A small, low-traffic spare room with zero pressure to interact.
- Someone with experience with fearful cats.
- A calm environment with no loud noises, busy kids, or active dogs.
- No pressure for Clementine to become a lap cat or seek affection right away.

Option 2: An indoor/outdoor setup (a working cat or barn home) where she is provided with support
- A secure outbuilding, shop, barn, or hobby farm.
- A safe, enclosed space to acclimate for the first 3-4 weeks.
- Regular food, fresh water, and shelter provided daily.

Whether she chooses to live inside as a quiet companion or outside as a working cat, Clementine just needs a chance. Can you open your heart and property to save a life?

We provide all the guidance you need to help her settle in safely. Contact APS-FH at (360) 378-2158, or shelter@apsfh.com if you are interested in learning more information.

Please share, comment, or tag local animal lovers to help Clementine find her perfect match!
