Clay's Story

Clay is so adorable we can hardly stand it. He is a petite, velvety soft young boy who is estimated to be under 1 year old. Clay was rescued as part of a large group of cats. He is still fairly new to us and is learning to trust people. He is making great progress everyday and he is especially motivated by PLAYTIME! He is almost always playing with his toys and is a silly, funny boy.

Because he came in with other cats, we think he would love to live with another cat (or multiple!). A more confident cat in the home would be huge in helping him gain confidence and trust.

Clay is looking for a patient, understanding person who will set him up to succeed by slowly acclimating him to his new home. Shelter staff are happy to discuss acclimation more with potential adopters.

Clay is neutered and up-to-date on vaccines.

Please DO NOT apply through Petfinder.

You can stop by the Exeter Animal Shelter with any questions or contact them at either 401-294-2754 / animalshelter@exeterri.gov. The shelter is located at 169 South County Trail, Exeter, RI 02822. Their hours are Tues & Thurs 3-6pm / Wed, Fri, Sat & Sun 9-1pm.
