Clay's Story

Clay is simply the best. He’s been through so much and through it all, he’s been the happiest, sweetest and most lovable gentleman. Clay is about 6 years young.
Clay came to the shelter after getting into a scuffle with a dog.
When Clay came into the shelter, he was all scraped up but his spirit was intact!

Clay has had a lot of work done since coming into the shelter. The tip of his tail unfortunately had to be amputated because it was infected and not healing. He also had a lesion that needed to be removed from his ear. Clay also had a rotten tooth that needed to come out and as if that wasn’t enough, he had a painful eye condition called Entropion, where the eyelashes curl inwards and rub against the eye. Clay is an overachiever though and had even more medical issues going on! He had nerve damage in his front right leg and for a long time, he couldn’t put weight on that leg and wasn’t using it.
Luckily, with time, medication and laser therapy, Clay regained the use of that limb!

Clay is the absolute best-he’s always in a good mood. He loves everyone and would be just as happy being your only cat as he would having some feline friends.
Clay is extremely affectionate and loving-he’s a major lap cat!
Having Clay in your life is the smartest decision you’ll make in 2026! :)
