Claudia

Claudia is 5 years old and was found as a stray, but likely had former owners. She was pretty stressed out in the shelter environment and so she was moved to a foster home to decompress, which worked because she is doing much better! Our girl Claudia loves finding a comfy spot to relax and soak up the sun, and she will make a lovely window cat. She is a chill and quiet cat, but makes the cutest little sounds and loves butt scratches. <br/><br/>Claudia is very sweet with her foster mom but we think she would prefer a quiet home, and she likely wouldn't be a big fan of little kid energy. We think her front paws might be declawed, which could be part of the reason she has been uncomfortable - big changes, a loud shelter environment, and no claws to feel like she could protect herself. We get it! <br/><br/>This larger gal is slightly overweight, and her foster home has been trying to monitor her food/treat intake to help her achieve a more healthy weight for the long-term. She has been showing more of a playful side the longer she is in her foster home, tunneling under the covers and playing with feather toys. She even has started exploring the cupboards and any spare boxes left around! But overall Claudia is mostly very chill - she would prefer not to live in a high energy or chaotic household, and definitely wants to be your only pet. Respectful kids would probably be okay with her.
