Without help, this little family likely wouldn’t have survived the cold winter on their own. Thankfully, they were rescued and brought into foster care, where Clara could safely raise her babies and everyone could finally relax and thrive. Now that her kittens are growing up, Clara and her son Bern are ready to find a loving home together.

Clara is a beautiful, regal young mama, estimated to be around 1–2 years old, who did an amazing job raising her five kittens. Now that her full-time mom duties are winding down, her mellow and gentle personality really shines. Her foster human can cradle her on her back and carry her around the house like that — something she happily allows with total trust. Clara likely lived outdoors before coming into foster care, and she would love a home where she can enjoy safe outdoor access, such as a fenced yard or a catio. That said, with a stimulating and enriching environment, she could also be content as an indoor-only cat. She has a wonderfully balanced temperament: affectionate and happy to sit in a lap, but never demanding or pushy for attention.

Bern is about 3 months old and is the perfect mix of playful and laid-back. He loves to roughhouse with his brothers and proudly stalk his toys as if they were mice. Despite his kitten energy, Bern is a calm, easygoing little guy who takes life in stride and enjoys just being part of the action.

Clara and Bern’s foster mom feels these two make a special and natural pair. Clara didn’t get along especially well with the other adult cats in her foster home, but she seems comfortable and content with Bern by her side. For that reason, they are looking for a home together where they can continue to bond and thrive.
Both Clara and Bern are comfortable around dogs and would do well in a home with a cat-friendly pup. They would also be a good fit for a family with children who understand how to be gentle and respectful with animals.

This loving mother-and-son duo has already been through so much together. Now they’re ready to settle into a forever home where they can relax, play, and enjoy the next chapter of their lives — together

Clara is around 1-2 years old and Bern was born around 10/1/25. They have been spayed / neutered and vaccinated. They are litter box trained.

The adoption fee for two cats is $230.

We recommend adopting two cats/kittens if you have no other pets (or even if you do), because you will get twice the love with less work and they will develop fewer behavioral issues, while costs remain relatively similar.

We are located in the Columbia Gorge area in OR/WA (this is where the kittens are fostered), but we are able to transport to those locations where we advertise (i.e. Seattle and Portland area). There isn't an additional fee for transport, but any additional donation to help support what our little group does is appreciated.

When responding to this ad, please provide a phone number where you can be reached. Having an alternate means to contact people is helpful, since our email can end up in SPAM. Please also provide some information on your home. For example: Do you have small children? How many? Is your home life quiet or busy? Do you live in a rural or urban area? Do you have any other pets? What else should we know?

All of the kittens at Pawsitivity are fostered in homes where they are cared for and socialized. We don't keep kittens in cages (except maybe at bedtime). Our foster parents are able to learn each of their personalities this way and determine the best home for them. We also make sure all kittens are healthy before placing them in their forever home.

For additional information on our group and what we do, please check out our website: www.pawsitivity.info
