Cindy (Reduced adoption fee)'s Story
Cindy is a pretty calico girl, about a year and a half old, who was rescued as a frightened, hungry, abandoned stray. Her foster gave him the time, patience, and gentle reassurance for her to understand that humans could be trusted sometimes, and her affectionate nature has emerged. Now, Cindy enjoys being pet, loves to play, and will happily curl up by her foster mom. She still has a sensitive side and would do best as the only cat in a calm, understanding home where her person will let her continue growing in confidence. We haven’t seen her around dogs or children yet, but we believe she’d likely do well with respectful kids and dogs who know how to interact gently with cats. Cindy would do best in an interactive home where she isn’t left alone for long hours. She should be adopted by someone experienced enough with cats to understand that she will need patience, but that patience will pay off. Whoever is fortunate enough to adopt this little girl will gain a devoted companion for life.

She has been spayed, is current on vaccinations, tested negative for FeLV and FIV, and treated for worms and fleas. Her adopter will receive her medical records. She’s being fostered in Cambridge. Adoptions are facilitated by video meet-and-greets, as well as in-person visits. There is a simple adoption process and an adoption fee, which helps us continue rescuing cats in need. In Cindy's case, that adoption fee has been reduced by more than half to a mere $95-- a bargain for a new best friend. Cats can live past 20 years, so please consider whether you can commit to providing a safe, loving home for life before adopting. Please email Safercats11@gmail.com and say a little about yourself and the home you would provide. Doing so helps rescuers match cats with the right adopters. Including your phone number is likely to result in a faster response.
