Cindy Lou Who's Story

Cindy Lou Who is proof that sometimes kittens need other kittens the same way toddlers need preschool.

This 6 month old orange tabby was originally adopted as a single kitten and unfortunately developed what is commonly called "single kitten syndrome." Without other feline friends to help teach boundaries, play manners, and proper cat communication, Cindy became a little too rough and rowdy in her play. In other words: she was being an orange kitten. Intensely.

After being returned to us, Cindy Lou Who has spent time socializing with our other cats and the difference has been incredible. She has come SUCH a long way. She's still playful, spirited, and absolutely full of ginger chaos, but she's learning appropriate play and how to channel all that kitten energy much better. Other cats have helped teach her things humans simply can't replicate.

Because of this, Cindy MUST go to a home with other playful, confident cats that can continue helping her learn and thrive. She would not do well as an only kitten again.

And honestly? Underneath all that spice is a really fun, entertaining, affectionate young cat with a huge personality. She keeps life interesting, that's for sure.

Cindy Lou Who is looking for someone who understands that kittens are not tiny stuffed animals. They're babies learning the world, and sometimes they need guidance, patience, and feline role models along the way.

If you think your home may be the right fit for this fiery little redhead, apply at EffinghamCountyHumaneSociety.org
