Cindy's Story

Cindy will act like she is too cool to notice you, but underneath that independent exterior is a secret soft spot for people. At 3 years old, this stunning black beauty queen came to us from our partner shelter, Stray Cats of South Cowichan. Originally shy and a bit hissy when she first arrived, Cindy has made so much progress. She is starting to reach out for connection, whether it be allowing someone a little closer into her space or joining in playtime with her toys. While pets and cuddles are not her style just yet, Cindy has her own quirky, sweet ways of interacting and showing affection.

Cindy will thrive in an adult-only home that respects her independence and boundaries, and celebrates her oddball ways. She enjoys the company of her shelter pals and could share her home with another cat, though she is equally happy enjoying life as the only feline in the house. Cindy has purrfect litter box manners and no health concerns.

To learn more about Cindy or to arrange a visit to the shelter, please reach out or fill out an application. You are also welcome to visit us during our Open House, held every Saturday and Sunday from 12 -2 pm.
