Cinder's Story

Cinder was found by DC firefighters on a Friday evening call all alone, under a parked car but she isn’t letting that bring her down! She’s a typical silly, playful, sleepy kitten.

We estimate Cinder is about 3 weeks old and is still at a tender and vulnerable age without mama but the good news is she’s in the very capable hands of one of our amazing fosters!

Cinder will be ready to go to her Furever home when she turns about 8 weeks old (approximately May 15, 2026). If she is adopted at that point, she will have only one FVRCP vaccine so ensuring any resident pets are fully UTD on distemper and rabies are critical for this girl to be safe and sound in a new home. If adopted before 16 weeks, adopters are expected to obtain the FVRCP boosters and rabies vaccinations themselves as well as spay surgery when she is approximately 6-9 months old and provide Furever Home Animal Rescue with proof of those services complete. Furever Home Animal Rescue is happy to provide recommendations on low cost veterinary services for those vaccines and procedure.
