Cinder's Story

“Hi, hi, hi, hi!!! I’m Cinder and I’m ever so pretty. Wait…you moved, I’ll have to back up a bit. But look at my underbelly! It’s very soft. Oh no, don’t reach. I’ll come to you. That’s right, sit down and wait so I can snuggle all over you…you don’t mind a little fluff in your nose, right? Do you happen to have a treat? Prrrrrr”

Sorry folks, Cinder seems to have taken over my computer in an effort to find her new home. Now that I’ve removed her from the keyboard, let me give you some fun facts about this little Build-A-Bear katten.

Cinder is less than a year old and, as she indicated, gorgeous. The pictures do not do her justice. She has an entirely snow-white undercoat. The “smoke tabby” pattern you see on her is created by pigment at the ends of her hair only. It’s like a white cat rolled in your fireplace (Cinder…see?) That fur is thick and soft, but not at all prone to matting.

She is a delight, but a little bit of a spook-a-kitty. She will sleep with you, play with you (she’s still learning to play, but has progressed very well), and cuddle on the sofa or a chair, but she’s not a fan of quick movements (she gets over those fast) or people walking upright (especially towards her--she’ll usually dart a few steps away to watch you).

She will become more comfortable as she settles into your home; she just wants some extra reassurance that the dinosaurs aren’t chasing her. However, she is easily picked up for a short trip to your preferred petting location and once she gets going, you’ll be wondering how you get a little headbutting, rolling, purring furball out of your lap so you can get to work.

Her favorite spots are on her foster’s office chair or sitting in a kitty “donut bed” to watch things going on around the house. She is also VERY food motivated, so the way to her heart is both snuggles and treats. She likes to be petted and brushed while eating.

"Snort, prrr...wait, did you tell them I love other animals...?"

She is a little bit of a spook but snuggles when she warms up. She isn’t suitable in a house with active or loud children, but she likes to play with the cats in her foster’s house and doesn’t mind the two big dogs at all.

Cinder has been spayed, tested, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas. This dust-ball of a girl just needs someone who wants a cat who is both happy to be independent and a snuggle bum when all is calm. If that could be you, apply today!

If you're interested in adopting, the first step is to fill out the application here:
http://bit.ly/3VDJfhm
