Chuck Norris's Story

Meet Chuck Norris – The Ultimate Lap Cat (Minus the Roundhouse Kicks)

Chuck Norris is a gentle, affectionate soul who’s looking for a quiet, loving home to call his own. If you’re someone who enjoys slow mornings, cozy evenings, and a loyal companion curled up in your lap, Chuck just might be your perfect match. He could happily cuddle all day if you let him!

Chuck isn’t a fan of dogs or young children, so a calm, low-key household would be his ideal environment. He thrives on affection and would do best with someone who can provide plenty of one-on-one attention.

Chuck does have early-stage hyperthyroidism, which will need regular monitoring. He takes daily medication and it's important that he receives it consistently. He also experiences occasional vomiting (about 1–2 times a week), which may be related to a food sensitivity. A new owner should be willing to work with a vet to find the best diet for his needs.

Despite these medical quirks, Chuck has so much love to give—and he’s ready to share it with someone who understands the joy of a quiet life and a warm purring friend.

Chuck Norris is currently in a home. If you are interested in meeting him, please send a message here, or email adopt@ahsem.org.

Adoption fees are as follows: $155 for a single cat or kitten, $195 for a pair of cats or kittens. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.

Animal House of South East Michigan, Inc.'s Adoption Policy
When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment. Our adoption fees are as follows: $155 for a single cat or kitten $195 for a pair of cats or kittens Please note that we do not do same day adoptions and all adoption fees are non-refundable. AHSEM treats every adoption as "foster to adopt" This means that the first two weeks in which you have the cat is the "foster period." We do our best to ensure the right match for all involved and want to give the cat(s) time to decompress and adapt to their new environment. However, we realize sometimes things don't work out as expected. Therefore, during that two-week period, if something doesn’t work out you can bring the cat back. We are also flexible if more time is needed to determine if its the right fit. We will always take our cats back even after the "foster to adopt" period. We would hate to see them end up at a kill shelter, abandoned, or any other unsafe situation.
