Christy's Story
Christy has been here for over 2 years and she has made a few enemies along the way. Mostly are human and the others are the cats in the room who want to be friends. This sweet and spicy girl can go from loving to cranky real quick but as long as you can "tell her tells" and act appropriately, she starts to give respect to that person.

The person who is in charge of cats has been with Christy since day one and it hasn't been a great relationship. There has been a little blood shed (not from Christy btw) and a lot of swear words have been thrown out there during that time. However, for some reason, Christy decided one day that maybe that person isn't so bad? Maybe she could let her in? Maybe if she was willing to keep feeding her and taking care of her everyday, Christy could give her a chance.

Yup, it happened. Christy let her in and she has shown a side to her that we didn't know existed. When Christy has accepted you, she follows you around meowing for attention, she asks for you to pick her up, when you are holding her she drools like this is the best day of her life, she even makes biscuits on your shoulder while purring all your stress away. Don't get us wrong, Christy still has her cranky days where if you aren't paying attention to what she is trying to tell you with her body language, she gets a little testy! If you leave her alone...she will leave you alone until she calms down.

Why isn't the cat lady taking her home you ask (since everybody else does around the shelter when they see her holding Christy), she has too many animals at home that Christy would not appreciate having to share her with! Not all cats are perfect and we know the perfect person is out there for her. Somebody who is willing to go through the rocky times to get to the drooling and biscuit making times. Could you be that person for her?
You may find me on our website under "ADOPT
