Many times, cats in a shelter who are not overly friendly and outgoing, can't compete with the ones who are. Chris is an example of this. He was rescued a couple years ago, when a hoarder in Hardin County IL, passed away, and left 22 (or more) cats in his house. Several rescues and shelters jumped in to assist taking the cats out, and Project Hope Humane Society was one of them. Chris and another cat are all that are left of this group. These cats were likely not used to people, and they mostly keep to themselves. Chris is friendly, though, and will let you pet him. We think he is in the 4–5 year-old range.
