Chocolata's Story
Guera, Nene, and Chocolata came to our shelter under heartbreaking circumstances when their beloved owner was suddenly deported, leaving them without the home they knew. It's been a big, confusing change for them, and they are still adjusting to their new surroundings.

Right now, all three are feeling nervous and unsure in the shelter environment. They tend to be sensitive to quick movements and loud activity, so they would do best in a calm, quiet home with older family members who understand the importance of patience and gentle interactions.

Each of them deserves the chance to decompress, to rest, and to slowly rediscover what it means to be loved and secure. A stable, understanding home will make all the difference in helping them come out of their shells and show their true selves.

They have been through so much, and what they need now is simple: a soft place to land and someone willing to give them the time they need.

They were in a foster home before coming to the shelter, and her foster felt like Chocolata and Guera loved hanging out together. While it is not required for them to be adopted together, we feel like they would be a good pair for those interested in adopting a pair!
