Chiye's Story

Meet Chiye 🖤
Chiye (“Chee-yay”) means “big brother” in Lakota Sioux, and this handsome boy carries that title with quiet wisdom and gentle charm. As the larger black kitten of the litter, Chiye is thoughtful, patient, and observant — the kind of kitten who likes to take in the world before jumping into the action.
But don’t mistake his calm nature for shyness! Once Chiye has finished “analyzing the situation,” he’s ready to run, explore, wrestle, and proudly chase his favorite stuffed mouse toys. He approaches life with curiosity, intelligence, and a wonderfully mellow spirit that makes him incredibly special.

After a day of adventures and important kitten research, Chiye is happiest enjoying a good meal and settling in for warm cuddles. He has a soothing presence that melts hearts instantly — a soulful little companion who reminds everyone around him to slow down, be present, and enjoy the simple joys in life.

Sweet, playful, affectionate, and deeply loving, Chiye is ready to bring warmth, comfort, and plenty of purrs to his forever home. 🐾

Typically, at this age, we adopt in pairs and are unsure if Chiye would do well as a solo kitten. Chiye will do great as a pair or trio with one of his litter mates-Akita, Ali, Sapa, or Wiye, or with proper introduction to another cat or kitten.

If you would like to meet or learn more about Chiye, please apply at our website online, at Kitten Rescue Life, Adoption tab. https://kittenrescuelife.org/adopt. We are also having an Adoption Event this Saturday, May 16, at PetSmart Escondido, from 12-4pm. Apply now to get pre-approved!
