Chirps's Story

My name is Olive Chirps. You may have questions. I have answers, and also opinions, and also I would like to sit near you while you have those questions.

On the subject of people:
I have never met one I didn't immediately consider my best friend. You, specifically, already feel promising. I can tell these things.

On the subject of dogs:
I have lived with small dogs. I have lived with large dogs. I have napped next to dogs. If you have a dog and you're worried about me - don't. I have done the research. Dogs are fine. Warm, even.

On the subject of cats:
I believe in personal space. Mine is approximately four feet. Your resident cat will have four feet of guaranteed peace at all times. This is not hostility. This is boundaries. I am very emotionally evolved for ten months old.

On the subject of the litter box:
Impeccable. I don't want to talk about it further because I'm a lady.

On the subject of play:
Non-negotiable. Daily. Enthusiastically. That little spring toy on the floor? Already mine. Everything is already mine. This is simply how it works.

A note on my recent medical history:
I had hip surgery. I recovered with the focus and discipline of a Olympic athlete under the care of a highly specialized foster nurse who I understood also manages a small chaotic kingdom of dogs and cats and one tiny vision-impaired chihuahua named Niblet who I respected from a distance of four feet.
I emerged from recovery stronger, more confident, and frankly more interesting than most cats you will ever meet.

What I am looking for in a forever home:
Someone who appreciates being followed from room to room. Someone who values eye contact. Someone who understands that "helping" means sitting directly adjacent to whatever you're doing. Someone with laps. Multiple laps preferred but I am flexible.
Dogs welcome. Cat roommates considered on a four-foot trial basis.

Previous surgical experience adds character. I have some. We can discuss it.

I am Olive Chirps.
You're welcome in advance.
