Chipwich w/ Drumstick - Curious & playful's Story

Meet Chipwich & Drumstick - Bonded Besties

Chipwich (male) and Drumstick (female) are a bonded pair of 10-month-old best friends who are full of charm, curiosity, and fun. These two do everything together and clearly take comfort and confidence from their close bond.

They've come a long way and are truly thriving. Chipwich and Drumstick LOVE interactive play-wand toys are their absolute favorite-and watching them chase, pounce, and play together is endlessly entertaining. They are friendly, curious, playful, and an all-around delight to be around. They're also learning just how wonderful people can be! Both are now very open to pets and scritches (especially chin scratches), which will earn you happy purrs. While they're not quite lap cats, they are affectionate, social, and genuinely enjoy spending time with their humans.

These two are extremely cat-friendly and LOVE other cats. With proper, thoughtful introductions, they would likely do well with a friendly, cat-savvy dog too. Chipwich and Drumstick would thrive in a home that appreciates their playful energy, growing confidence, and loving companionship-twice the love in one perfect package.

Chipwich and Drumstick are fixed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. They need to go home in a carrier, so please bring one with you for when you fall in love! Cardboard carriers are also available to purchase for $10.

We encourage you to take your time with this process and make a mental note of the pet(s) you’d like to meet! *For the well-being of our animals, we do not allow walk-throughs of the kennels. When you arrive at the shelter, please have a few pets in mind that you’d like to meet, and we will be happy to assist you with a meet & greet! MEET & GREET After narrowing down your search, we encourage you to spend time with your potential new best friend! You do NOT have to have an appointment to come in. The shelter is open Thursday through Tuesday, 11AM-5PM. Closed on Wednesdays! Our dedicated team is here to assist and address any questions you might have. If you already have a dog at home, be sure to bring them to the shelter to meet any potential new house-mates. We want to ensure dogs will get along BEFORE taking one home! This is also a great time to ask our team any lingering questions you might have, and we’re here to provide you with resources so you and your new pet can start things off on the right paw! AFTER ADOPTION You have a new pet, how exciting! Please remember that each animal will have an adjustment period in their new home after adoption. Every pet is unique & will adjust differently, but as a general guideline you can follow the 3-3-3 rule! 3 days to decompress, 3 weeks to learn your routine, and 3 months to start to feel at home. It doesn’t happen overnight, so give your new pet the patience they need to settle in & feel at home!
