Chimi's Story

Meet Chimi! 🐾 Chimi is an approximately six-month-old, spayed, female short-haired tabby kitten. She came to the Shelter with her brother, Tamale. The pair were feral for the first few months of their lives, but with time and patience, they've learned that people can be kind. Chimi is still shy but warms up a little once she gets to know you. The smallest of her litter, Chimi is a gentle and calm kitten who also loves to play. She's agile, curious, and always ready to show her toys who's boss! The way to Chimi's heart is tuna treats, gentle pets, a warm lap, and plenty of playtime. Chimi is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on her rabies and FVRCP vaccinations. Chino Valley Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy

ADOPTING A DOG/PUPPY After the "Stray Hold" most unclaimed dogs will be available for adoption. Dogs that display behavioral issues will be trained by our volunteers and/or placed into rescue. Arizona State law requires all adoptable dogs to be spayed/neutered, vaccinated for rabies and licensed. The associated charges plus the cost of a microchip and DHPP and Bordetella vaccinations are included in our adoption fees. Canine Adoption Fee: Up to 6 months - $200.00 7 months to 1 year - $175.00 1 year & older - $150.00 License Fee: For residents of Chino Valley only $8.00 altered dogs $36.00 unaltered dogs Adoption Steps & Requirements Adopters must be at least 18 years of age and have photo identification. Entire families, including children, are encouraged to meet the animal prior to adoption. A Meet and Greet with any resident dog(s) is mandatory.
