Chicky's Story
Chicky - Female DOB 2/20/2017 Brown Tabby

Chicky is one of the most sweet and loving senior cats we have had. She was surrendered not too long ago with a buddy of hers due to the owners moving and couldn't take them with them. It takes her a bit to settle into her new surroundings, but who could blame her after being in the same home for so many years and not knowing what was happening. She no longer can be with her buddy where he has some medical issues that caused him to have to be monitored closer at a foster home.

Chicky is a big lap cat who could spend all day sitting on you if you let her. She also likes to be at table height to you and stand up to your shoulder telling you she wants you to pick her up and hold her against you. Sometimes she will try to get up on your shoulders where you have to hold her so she doesn't fall, and other times she is happy just walking around with you in your arms. She loves to be brushed and petted, but sometimes she will grab at your hand if you pull it away too fast to pull it back to her to tell you she doesn't want you to stop petting her. Sometimes she can also give a quick gentle bite to let you know she's a bit over excited with all the attention so she will need a cat-savvy person who knows when and how to stop petting her.

And at 9 years young, Chicky does not have any health issues at this time that we are aware of. She does not like being around other cats even though we have tried to introduce her into our bigger main room, but she just wants to be someone's one and only cat. We don't know how she would do with a cat-friendly dog, but with a slow introduction she may be ok. No kids would be best where she can be a little unpredictable when being petted.
