Chickpea's Story

the cat who looks like someone typed "cutest cat ever" into an AI generator and somehow he walked right out of the screen. Seriously - the face, the sweetness, the vibes ... it's almost suspicious.
Chickpea came to us from the not-so-mean streets of upper-middle-class suburbia, where he apparently perfected the art of being a slightly hipster stray. Think: indie coffee shop regular energy, but in cat form. If he could wear a tiny scarf and talk about vinyl records, he probably would.
This handsome boy is incredibly sweet and affectionate and seems to be saving up a lifetime supply of love for the person or family lucky enough to adopt him. His main life goal? To belong to someone and remind them every day how great that decision was.
Chickpea would do best with slow introductions to other cats. He's proven he can handle a little feline attitude - he's currently navigating the social scene with some rather bossy foster sisters and has wisely chosen the strategy of "give them space and live to cuddle another day." With respectful, non-aggressive kitty companions, he does just fine.
But what Chickpea really dreams about is his own people - a cozy home, plenty of affection, and someone who appreciates a cat that is equal parts adorab,e, loving, and slightly indie-f ilm-protagonist coded.
If you're looking for a ridiculously cute, gentle boy who will happily shower you with affection (and maybe judge your coffee choices a little), Chickpea might just be your guy.

He has been aggressive with two of my boy kitties - one of those times was from right after he was neutered. He has ignored the girl kitties and seemed to get along just fine with them. He will need a slow introduction to any new kitties in the home.
