Chickie's Story

Meet Chickie!

Chickie is an adorable gray kitten who came to us with her mom, Mother Hen, and her siblings. Like the rest of her litter, Chickie didn't have the opportunity to receive the early socialization that young kittens need, so she's still learning that people can be safe, kind, and loving.

New people and unfamiliar situations can be overwhelming for Chickie, and she may be hesitant at first. She'll need a patient adopter who understands that trust is earned over time and is willing to let her settle in at her own pace. With a calm home, gentle encouragement, and lots of consistency, Chickie has all the potential to continue building her confidence.

When she's with her siblings, Chickie's kitten personality comes to life! She loves chasing toys, wrestling with her brothers and sisters, and zooming around the room during playtime. Seeing her playful side reminds us that she's just a kitten who needs a little extra time to realize that people can be part of the fun, too.

If you have a kind heart, a quiet home, and the patience to let a shy kitten blossom, Chickie could be the perfect addition to your family. Helping her discover that the world isn't so scary will be a rewarding journey, and the bond you build together will be well worth the wait.

All our cats are spayed/neutered, dewormed, FELV tested, microchipped, receive prevention while in our care, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines. If you're interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website at https://www.sftsrescue.org/adoptable-cats
