Cheyenne's Story
Cheyenne is a 5-year-old Himalayan who is as sweet as they come. But she is a particular type of cat. She is not the type of cat ready to snuggle up in your lap. Some come to rescues wary, confused, or overwhelmed—especially if theyve had limited human interaction or come from stressful environments. These cats arent broken or difficult—they simply have to learn how to trust. And showing she is a good student, Cheyenne learned pretty quickly.
Though she is still not a snuggler (but that could come), she has come a long way. Still requiring a calm environment in which she is the only cat, Cheyenne now seeks out pets and will take treats from your hand, which is new for her and shows that she is beginning to trust.
She likes to play with the fishing pole-type toys and will occasionally zoomie around. Her favourite pastime is looking out the window. When you pick her up (which she allows but is not a huge fan of) you will realize that her size is all fur. Cheyenne is a tiny girl.
Like all Himalayans, Cheyenne requires daily brushing. She loves it as it has been paired with treats. She has just begun to eat wet food to go with the dry food. She is not a big eater but definitely prefers the wet to the dry. She uses the litter without fail.
Cheyenne is waiting for her forever family that understands that she will need patience until she feels comfortable. It wont take long, and your patience will be paid off in spades.

Please complete an application for this cat online at: https://www.chatopia.ca/forms

******
