Cherry (& Chapstick)

Meet Cherry, a sweet and chatty mama cat, who isn’t shy in letting you know when she’s ready to play or be petted. She can be persuaded onto a lap for a little while, but Cherry’s favorite spot to snooze is right on a bed or couch, so she can receive all the pets she desires. And she desires a lot of pets! Cherry is part of a bonded pair with her darling kitten and Mini Me, Chapstick. Mom and daughter love playing together with a laser pointer, or hunting down flies as a team. They’re quite the dynamic duo! Cherry and Chapstick have no issues with eating out of one another’s food bowls. Their attitude is “share and share alike”! If you’re seeking them out, you’ll usually find the pair chilling together, as well.<br/><br/>This mom and her baby were found by the landlord some time after their human had moved out. Another of Cherry’s kittens was already deceased. Cherry and Chapstick were very thin and very hungry. In our experience, most cats love the company of other cats, and can become quite lonely when living alone.<br/><br/>Kittens will only be placed in pairs, or to join another kitten or young cat in your home.<br/><br/>Chicago Cat Rescue is an entirely foster based organization. Our ability to help more cats in need is dependent on our availability of foster homes.
